What will my session be like? In a word...Fun! You might be a little nervous at first, but not for long. Our friendly atmosphere will have you relaxed in no time. back to top

Can I bring a parent or friend? Yes! Just make sure it is someone you feel comfortable with. It is always nice to have someone else telling you how awesome you look.

What if my parents and I like different poses? No problem. You can always order from multiple poses without any additional fees.

What time should I arrive? Be at the studio at least 10 minutes early. There is some initial paperwork to take care of and you will need time to take care of your hair, make-up and change clothes if necessary. back to top

What should I wear? Bring a variety of outfits from dressy to casual. Remember, you want to look good in your clothes not compete with them for attention. Here are some things to consider when making your clothing selection.

• Avoid bold stripes, plaids or busy patterns! Solid colors photograph much better because attention is paid to the face not the clothes. Although if your favorite outfit doesn't follow the rules bring it anyway. It may not be technically correct but if you like it who can argue? You know what you like!

• Long sleeves photograph better than short sleeves or tank tops. back to top

• Dress from head to toe. Dress as if you were going out in this outfit; socks, shoes, belts etc.. These may be seen in some poses. If you don't have them with you we are limited in what we can do.

• White, Ivory, Khaki or pastel colors are perfect for lighter backgrounds and fair complexions. White does photograph well so go ahead and dress for it.

• Outdoor outfits work best in earth tones such as green, browns and blues, no matter what your complexion.

• Middle tones or deep solid colors are ideal for formal portraits or darker complexions. back to top

• Undergarments can be problematic with certain materials or styles of clothing. To help avoid these problems flesh tone is the best option. If you have a strapless top plan ahead to have the correct foundation wear. Try your outfits on at home first and look closely to see if anything is bleeding through or can be seen.

Have fun but think ahead. Fad clothing and wild styles can be fun and may help to show exactly who you are during high school but be careful, these fashions come and go quickly. Just look at your parents' high school pictures!

What about my hair? The style is up to you although we recommend staying away from new cuts, colors or styles. This is not the time to try something new. back to top

What about make-up?Wear whatever is natural to you. Make -up should only be slightly heavier than usual but don't overdo it. Avoid anything with sparkles as it will photograph as little white spots. If you don't normally wear make-up a little color to the lips and around the eyes does help.

What if I have acne?Don't worry. Slight acne is retouched free of charge on your final prints. More severe acne can be retouched for a small fee.

Will my nails show?Yes. If your nails have chipped polish or are dirty, it will show! Many shots are done barefoot so don't forget about those toes. Avoid very bright colors. Natural or basic works best.back to top

Do I need to shave?Yes. A fresh shave is a must to avoid costly retouching later. This includes legs as well as faces. If you wear a moustache or beard be sure that it is trimmed.

Can I bring stuff for my portraits? Most definitely! Props help to create the story of you. Feel free to bring any items you feel will help identify who you are. Hats, jewelry, sports equipment, musical instruments, cars, motorcycles, hobbies and crafts anything you can think of bring it along. When it comes to animals we have had everything from dogs and cats to horses, ferrets, racoons and lizards. We even had an elephant, giraffe and a wallaby!

Can I bring my own music?Sure, bring your favorite CD's.....it's amazing how music can make your session more fun and relaxing. back to top

Tip: The most forgotten items are:Proper socks, belts, jewelry, hair brush, hair ties, hair spray or gel, make-up for touch ups and ties.
